Giles is a filmmaker based in Perth/Boorloo, Western Australia.

In 2024, he wrote, directed, produced & edited the independent feature-film JELLYFISH while completing his BA in English & Literary Studies. It premiered at a special event in Perth and was later selected for WA Made Film Festival 2025. His short film INTERVIEW is currently playing in festivals. He is the founder of the film production company NOTEPAD.

Giles has worked as an editor on a range of narrative and commercial projects. As a past-president of the UWA Film Society, he created trailers and audiovisual content to promote club events. He currently freelances for Postglacial, cutting assembly edits using a fully remote workflow. He is an associate member of the Australian Screen Editors guild.

In his free time, he loves to watch sad movies and cry (not always at the same time).
